Krefeld / Mönchengladbach. From New Year’s Eve at 6 p.m. on the theater’s YouTube channel
Despite the restrictions to contain the corona virus, music lovers on the Lower Rhine do not have to do without a New Year’s concert by the Niederrheinische Symphoniker: The musicians under GMD Mihkel Kütson, together with Sophie Witte, Boshana Milkov and David Esteban from the theater’s opera ensemble, have a good 20 -minute concert recorded on video and post it from December 31st. at 6 p.m. on the Youtube channel of Theater Krefeld Mönchengladbach free of charge. So all music lovers can sweeten their New Year’s Eve with it.
Programmatically, the audience can expect a varied mix of swing and big band sounds, Spanish passion and familiar melodies. Sophie Witte and David Esteban Irving bring Berlin’s “Cheek to Cheek” to the fore, while Boshana Milkov presents himself with “’S Wonderful” by George Gershwin.
