Because she had participated in the 2017 edition of the adventure game, Mathilde did not get the teaching position she wanted in Nice.
When she took part in season 17 of “Koh-Lanta”, in Cambodia, Mathilde certainly did not imagine the negative consequences that this could have on her professional life three years later. And yet, as she revealed during a question and answer session in her story Instagram, the young 25-year-old English teacher faced a huge disappointment related to her participation in the TF1 game.
To a person who asked her what she had planned for the start of the new school year in September, Mathilde revealed that she had been refused her transfer to the Nice Academy because she had participated in “Koh-Lanta”. “I hallucinated to be confronted with people so closed-minded. On the pretext that my career is atypical and that I take “a little too much space”, they do not give me a chance. As if it gave back my skills as a teacher, ”wrote the Frenchwoman.
For her, her experience as an adventurer is on the contrary a real advantage which allows her today to have a greater sense of effort and thoroughness. In the end, if she did not obtain her transfer to Nice, Mathilde still found a teaching position in the city of the Côte d’Azur. A “crazy opportunity” which she promised to speak of soon.
