More than twenty people were arrested tonight in Amsterdam’s Osdorp neighborhood after another troubled evening. Riot police had to be called to restore order, police say NH News in AT 5.
It was already noisy in the neighborhood on Sunday and Monday nights. For example, the fair in the neighborhood was closed Monday night earlier after the riots in the area. Dozens of young people then fired fireworks, there were fights and rescuers were approached aggressively.
NH News writes that tonight he was hit for the third consecutive time. The young people started fires and there were fireworks again. A local resident called the area a madhouse. “I was on the balcony, but they threw up the fireworks, I had to go in”.
Pictures from another local resident show a fire in Osdorp City Park. The municipality also had to close the fair at 7pm today due to the previous riots. The riots did not take place at the fairground tonight, but outside it.
