“We discussed the current efforts of the Ukrainian army to repel Russia’s armed aggression. We also discussed the upcoming Ramstein-2 online meeting, at which we will assess the needs of the Ukrainian army,” Reznikov said.
Also at the Pentagon reportedthat the meeting will take place online on Monday, May 23rd.
“The second meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine will take place on Monday. It will be held online. The minister will join from the Pentagon,” said John Kirby, a spokesman for the US Department of Defense.
Kirby also said Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin had already notified Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov of the planned meeting. It is also noted that the parties will discuss the type and volume of further military-technical assistance to Ukraine.
