WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – Minister of Foreign Affairs United States of America, Mike Pompeo revealed the reason for meeting in a recent meeting with Yang Jiechi, a diplomat leading China.
Pompeo revealed his reasons during a radio interview on Tuesday (6/23/2020). The meeting between Pompoe and Yang Jiechi itself took place on 17 June.
“I believe the Communist Party of China is ready to tell us if any changes are to be made,” Pompeo said.

What was discussed during the meeting?
Washington investigator Tom Rogan wrote in his column that Pompeo’s meeting with Jiechi in Hawaii last week was China’s agenda to separate Pompeo from US President Donald Trump.
Pompeo replied that he let people speculate about his meeting with delegations from the Communist China.
However, he said that he himself really wanted to meet with China’s top diplomat.

Yang Jiechi is a member of the elite Communist Party Politburo (politicheskoye buro) is an executive organization for several political parties, especially the communist party.
Pompeo explained, “I want to meet because the Chinese Communist Party has fundamentally behaved and placed the American people at risk. I am currently working for a president who for the first time in decades considers this a serious threat.”
He also talked about various events that occurred recently and related to the Chinese Communist Party.

“We see what happens in Hong Kong, we see what happens in the Himalayas with India, in the South China Sea,” Pompeo added.
A few days after the meeting, according to the US Secretary of State, Beijing moved forward by enacting security laws in Hong Kong.
The meeting according to Pompeo discussed how the US views related to Chinese steps, and how the actions the United States would take and hopes for the future.

Pompeo also criticized the Chinese regime which tends to make small talk but failed to make real changes. “What we need to see from them is real change,” Pompeo said.
Pompeo also mentioned a meeting with Yang in an interview on the show The Sean Hannity Show.
During The Sean Hannity Show, Pompeo also reaffirmed the attitude of the US government.
“The president understands that the Chinese Communist Party and the global elite in the US have worked together to endanger and present a real risk here in the US. President Trump will not allow that to continue.”
