According to the BBC on the 17th, Iran’s renowned journalist and activist Masashi Alinejad began a life-saving campaign for Instagram star Saha Tavar (23, real name Pateme Kischband), who was arrested by the authorities.

Iranian authorities arrested him in October 2019. Charges followed, including blasphemy, incitement of violence, and insults of the Islamic dress code.
His Instagram account was closed, and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the Islamic Revolutionary Court last December.
