A total of 18 family members infected with the corona virus aka Covid-19 disease after attending a surprise birthday party in north Texas.
Ron Barbosa, who is married to a doctor, refused to attend his daughter-in-law’s birthday party on May 30. He reasoned that he wanted to protect himself from the possibility of corona virus transmission.
However, the party was still held and infected 18 people, including Ron’s father who was elderly (80 years) and his sister who was battling breast cancer.
Barbosa said that his nephew who did not know that he was infected with the corona virus was at a birthday party that was attended by 25 family members for several hours and followed existing health protocols.
During the party, his nephew interacted physically with 7 family members who then transmitted the virus to 10 other family members, including 2 young children.
To WFAA-TV, Ron Barbosa said that he had been afraid that would happen.
While on Thursday (6/25/2020) Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott will stop the aggressive opening of his state because cases of corona virus infections and inpatients continue to increase.
