1,723,540 doses of vaccines against covid-19 arrived at the warehouses of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection this Sunday, that will serve to continue promoting the National Vaccination Plan.
Gerson Bermont, Director of Promotion and Prevention, explained that They are from the Moderna laboratory and they were acquired through the bilateral agreement that the Colombian State has with this pharmaceutical company.
“These doses will be used and distributed throughout the country to continue vaccinating young people between 12 and 24 years old; the second pending doses, and the booster doses that are needed for the population over 50 years of age, especially ”, indicated the director.
On the other hand, he invited the population to continue with this rate of vaccination before the end of the year and to ensure that during these festivities, With the good availability of vaccines that are throughout the national territory, access your vaccination process and arrive at these festivities with your complete schedules and the elderly, especially, with your booster doses.

Bermont explained that with this batch, the country completes 70,577,194 doses of vaccines from all laboratories and mechanisms in its territory. In the case of Moderna, he highlighted that the country has received 13,503,940 doses of vaccines. Of these, 3,500,000 come from donations and 10,003,940, from bilateral negotiations.
