JAKARTA – Women’s doubles badminton, Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu, managed to donate a gold medal for Indonesia in Tokyo 2020 Olympics. For their achievements, both of them received various prizes from the government, the private sector and the community.
Greysia/Apriyani, won the gold medal after overthrowing the Chinese representative, Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan. They managed to win two games with a score of 21-19, 21-15.
This achievement made Indonesia’s first gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Not only that, Greysia / Apriyani also made history for Indonesian badminton for bringing Indonesian women’s doubles to play in the Olympic final for the first time.

Various prizes were also given to Greysia/Apriyani, not only bonuses from the government but also from various groups. They also gave bonuses and prizes as a form of gratitude for having succeeded in making the name of the Indonesian nation proud in the four-yearly sporting event.

1. Government Bonus of 5 billion.

3. One branch of Baso Aci Akang from Arief Muhammad plus an Indonesian Ice Tea outlet from Brisia Jodie.
4. Apartment B Residence Serpong was given by the CEO of MGM Group to Greysia, Apriyani and the coach.
6. A plot of land from the Mayor of Tomohon for Greysia and from the Regent of Konawe for Apriyani.
7. Vacations in 5 National Tourism Destinations + Wakatobi were given by the Minister of Tourism, Sandiaga Uno.
