In Kinderdijk, fans of VV De Zwerver and VV Nieuw-Lekkerland clashed after a football match on Saturday evening. A 44-year-old Kinderdijker, a 39-year-old Alblasserdammer and a Nieuw-Lekkerlander were injured.

The police arrested the driver of the car which overturned on the A20 near Maassluis in the night between Saturday and Sunday. It concerns a man from Schiedam. The driver was missing after the crash. Police found him around 8am on Sunday morning. He is at the police station and there he has to undergo a blood test.

04:06 – Great commotion after accident on A20, driver missing

The A20 is closed in Maassluis after an accident. At about half past five on the night of Saturday to Sunday, a car crashed into the guardrail at high speed. The car then overturned. Eyewitnesses say there was debris on the road for about a hundred yards.

When firefighters and police arrived at the scene, the driver was missing. Police have deployed sniffer dogs and the fire brigade’s drone team to search for the occupants.
