An eleven-year-old girl who was not involved was fatally injured by a gunshot during a chase in the Bronx, New York. Two suspects on a motorcycle had followed a pedestrian on Monday afternoon (local time) and tried to shoot at him, the police said at a press conference. A bullet hit the girl in the stomach.
It was initially taken to a clinic in critical condition. It was there that he succumbed to his injuries. The 11-year-old is the second child to be shot dead in the Bronx this year, police said.
