DUBAI, KOMPAS.TV – Dubai police have arrested 11 Ukrainian women and a Russian man on Tuesday (6/4/2021) for taking part in taking photos of naked women on a balcony of a skyscraper in the city.

Previously, a number of viral photos and videos showing about a dozen naked women were lined up on the balcony of a building in Dubai.

Dubai is a top destination for celebrities and models who fill their social media pages with bikini-clad selfies of this luxury beachfront hotel on the artificial island of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

However, Dubai’s image as a luxury foreign tourist destination has often generated controversy and intersects with strict rules of conduct and public expression, which are based on Islamic or Sharia law.

Over the years, Dubai has promoted itself as a popular travel destination for Russians on vacation. A number of Cyrillic markers are even a common sight in Dubai’s major malls.
