100,000 corona cases in New York

There are now more than 100,000 confirmed infections with the coronavirus in the US state of New York. The number of deaths rose by 562 to almost 3,000 in one day, said Governor Andrew Cuomo. The east coast state and the metropolis of the same name are currently worst hit by the coronavirus epidemic. Almost 15,000 patients would be treated in the state’s hospitals for the lung disease Covid-19, almost 4,000 of them in intensive care units, said Cuomo. The governor once again asked for more help from other parts of the country that are currently not so badly affected by the Sars-CoV-2 virus.
