In Abu Dhabi, 22 people were arrested in the last quarter of 2020 with drugs worth AED 100 crore, police said. Col. Tahir Garib al-Dahiri, director of the Abu Dhabi Police’s Narcotics Unit, said 1.4 tonnes of drugs were seized from them and eight others were arrested in connection with the money laundering. It was also reported that international networks were operating in connection with the drug. He said strong legal action would be taken against the culprits.
