“It’s time to suffer, it’s time to fight, it’s time to win” – wrote Robert Karaś on his social media before the start.

The Tenfold Ironman is a distance 38 km in the swimming pool, 1800 km by bike and 422 km jogging!

The JUTA World Championship started on Sunday 14th August in Buchs, Switzerland. There were 40 competitors at the start, including Robert Karaś, as well as two other Polish representatives – Adrian Kostera and Tomasz Lus.

The limit for covering the entire distance in continuous competition is 14 days, but the best players should finish it after 190 hours. This is the world record, set by the German Richard Jung in 2018, also in the Swiss city of Buchs. The German triathlete will defend the result of him and Robert Karaś could be one of the most dangerous opponents.

Competitors started with swimming. Robert Karaś covered the distance of 38 km in the pool the fastest – 9 hours and 44 minutes – and set off for the bike path. He also finished the cycling part the fastest (it took 68 hours 44 minutes and 40 seconds), he got off the bike at night from Wednesday to Thursday 18 August at 00.40. After three hours of sleep, on August 18, she left for the race.

The first marathon – 42 km – has already been run by Robert Karaś. The competitors (so far only one Pole runs, rivals are still fighting on bicycles) will have to ride 1.2 km long rings. There are 350 laps in total, the Pole is now doing 46 laps.

“He is an unstoppable machine, he wants to reach the finish line and remember him for the rest of your life!” – comments Karasia’s team.

A minute after 5 am Robert Karaś set off for the 422km run. At the time when he already had four gearshift rings behind him, Belgian Kenneth Vanthuyne, second in the standings, still had to ride a bicycle … about 360 km! Third place is occupied by another Pole, Adrian Kostera (he still has 432 km to go by bike). The last of our representatives, Tomasz Lus, is 12th (there are still 1071 km of cycle path in front of him).

Robert Karaś has completed the cycling stage! The Pole covered 200 laps, or 1800 km, taking 68 hours 46 minutes and 40 seconds. He outclassed his rivals. Ahead of him, a race … 422 km.

Robert Karaś has eight laps with each 9km from the end of the cycling stage. Protagonists on the pitch. As the team informs about him, the wasps are the Pole’s biggest opponent.

Robert Karaś’s team reported on social media:

“Update from the Swiss Ultra Triathlon course – Robert Karaś, is in the last 180 km on 1800, entered the 4th day of competition with only 30 minutes and 2 hours of jams. During 4 days and 4 nights he slept in total just over 6 hours! Incredible what his body is capable of! ” – we read.

Crucian struggles with abrasions, back pain, numbness of the fingers and cough associated with constant changes in the air temperature. “Seeing his family, he has gained extra energy, your support is great! Thanks!” – inform the Polo team.

Karaś completed 188 rounds (out of 200). The Pole is in the lead.

Robert Karas covered 20 laps of 9 km until the end of the cycling part. The Pole fights on the street, has 180 shots behind (out of 200).

Karaś is still in the lead, Belgian Kenneth Vanthuyne is second behind him (139 rounds) and Adrian Kostera is third (128 rounds). The third Pole, Tomasz Lus, is 15th (60 laps).

The night was the worst for a competitor on the Ironman route, according to Caras staff:

“The nights are the hardest! Every competitor has to drive with bright lights that illuminate the road. Unfortunately, the other side of the coin is that the light also blinds the competitors coming from the opposite direction!

Robert survived the hardest night! We hope that the next one is in the running part – an unimaginable 422 km! “- let’s read.

Robert Karaś fights along the way. He has 161 rounds behind him (out of 200) – each round is 9km. The Pole is still in the lead, the second is behind him Belgian Kenneth Vanthuyne (125 rounds) and Adrian Kostera (113 rounds). The third Pole, Tomasz Lus, is 15th (50 laps).

Robert has just entered the 3rd day of racing during the Swiss Ultra Triathlon on the distance of 38 km swimming / 1800 km cycling / 422 km running!

Impossible does not exist, as confirmed by every additional kilometer traveled by our Master! – reads Karasia’s Facebook Tuesday evening.

Robert Karaś is still in the lead, he completed 131 rounds. Second is Belgian Kenneth Vanthuyne (97 rounds) and third is German Richard Jung (83 rounds). The fourth place is occupied by the second Pole, Adrian Kostera (91 laps). The third Pole, Tomasz Lus, is 15th (34 laps).

Updated on Tuesday August 16th at 7:00 am – The triathletes battling the 10 times Ironman distance have been on the course for 37 hours. Robert Karaś, who has nearly 90 laps on Mr.rusts with a great advantage. The second is the Belgian Kenneth Vanthuyne (59th lap) and the third is the German Richard Jung (48 laps). Adrian Kostera, the second Pole, moved up to fifth place, covering 40 laps.

Robert Karaś is a former world record holder for a five-time Ironman distance. The five-time Ironman race consists of 19km of swimming, 900km of cycling, 211km of running. A year ago, during the competition in Leon, Mexico, the Pole scored 67 hours 58 minutes and one second. – It was hell. It cannot be compared to any other race – Karaś admitted at the time. However, the champion was beaten this year by another Pole, Adrian Kostera.

Karaś has, among others, world titles in double and triple Ironman.
