10 Netflix specials that would really interest us Swiss

“Roger Federer reads terms and conditions” and 9 other Netflix specials that we would all love

Since the corona pandemic at the latest, streaming films and series has been an integral part of every day. But the offer is not yet perfect. At least here in Switzerland.

Crises always offer opportunities. Don’t worry – you won’t be asked to do fitness / yoga / banana bread baking now. So continue to make yourself comfortable on the couch. What is meant are the large streaming companies whose core task is to own a society that is flirting with the collective depression. Because the streaming market in Switzerland is fiercely competitive and the pressure of competition is enormous. More innovation is simply required.

However, since Switzerland, with its 8.5 million noses, is not very attractive, we are probably waiting in vain for formats that are specially tailored to Switzerland. Netflix, Amazon and Co. can do without us. That’s why we’re launching one hypothetical competitors, we are creative «wetflix» to baptize. (The “W” because of watson, of course. And certainly not because it sounds disreputable in a hearty way. Höhö.)

In the following, we propose ten formats that should show the potential that could still be exploited in Switzerland …

Plot: The ten-part documentary series deals with the psychological anatomy of notorious left-handers on the escalator. With their knowledge, various experts open up a new world along the depths of the human psyche.

Plot: Roger Federer reads out selected terms and conditions at random. Just because. Charming and perfect the way he is. Balm for the soul.

Plot: The series takes place around 40 years before the Rütli oath. Savages roam the forests and power-obsessed landlords make the life of the common people a struggle for survival. The birth of a boy named Wilhelm Tell unexpectedly sets off a revolutionary wave. Great action, dramatic relationships and a gripping battle for justice. (Plus lots of sex between beautiful people for the odds.)

Plot: At the same time, the episode film tells the story of eight fates that are coincidentally interwoven. But because of the narrow-mindedness of everyone, no one takes it for granted. But everyone perceives a lot that doesn’t suit them. And without knowing each other, they all decide to stick their fist in the sack with the utmost consistency. A subtle spectacle for Mr and Mrs Swiss.

Plot: Schawinski. Thiel. Two and a half room apartment. Five weeks. 100 cameras.

Plot: A visually insane historical documentation that goes into the genesis of two products that are popularly used as a synonym for taste. Peppered with philosophical excursions, the production and use of Maggi and Aromat is portrayed in a sensual way.

Plot: Who is the man from Sursee? SRF presenter Sascha Ruefer sets out to find the answer.

Plot: An elaborately produced series epic set in the fictional kingdom of Helevaticum. The stability of Helevaticum is on the brink, because all 26 houses lay claim to the notorious throne of the hottest canton. The unrest is picking up speed. And now of all times the Gubristan dam is threatening to fall.

Plot: A team of five Swiss people go in search of the most exotic dishes in the country, which they then compare with typical Swiss dishes. They are not stingy with typically Swiss criticism. Rock-hard and direct (as soon as the waiters are gone).

Plot: She’s back! Magdalena Martullo-Blocher returns to the stage with a new, long-awaited program.

24 pictures that show how children’s logic works

Children’s logic is something wonderful – at least for an outside observer. Evil tongues might also call it “stupid and happy”. But that would be a bit tough. No matter what we call it now, it is simply entertaining to see how children see the world.

Ah, and of course we don’t laugh at children, that is of course out of the question. But one or the other smile may be allowed. ????
