The Martinique Regional Health Agency learned on Wednesday July 29, 2020 at the end of the afternoon, of a positive case of COVID-19 in a young adult living in Martinique. An epidemiological link has been established with the source of contagion identified in Guadeloupe.

According to the press release from the prefecture and the Regional Health Agency, “this game (ARS) ne man participated in private parties that took place in the city of Fort-de-France, over the weekend of Saturday 25 to Monday 27 July 2020. The person is currently in isolation at his home”.
Contact tracing (contact tracing), set up by the ARS, the French health and public health insurance, has already made it possible to identify approximately a hundred contacts.
The ARS of Martinique and the prefecture ask all the people who are called by the health insurance and ARS teams for their full cooperation.
These people who participated in the various parties must remain in isolation, respect the barrier measures and go as soon as possible to a medical biology laboratory to be tested. This process is now possible without a medical prescription.
