1 Million Indian Covid-19 Patients Cure in 13 Days

NEW DELHI, KOMPAS.com – Ministry of Health and Family Welfare India on Tuesday (27/10/2020) said that the country recorded 1 million patients recovered from Covid-19 within 13 days.

The ministry said India’s number of cases per 1 million and deaths per 1 million was among the lowest in the world.

“It took 57 days to reach the number recovery 1 million since India recorded a cure rate of 100,000, “said Indian health ministry official Rajesh Bhushan as quoted from Xinhua News on Wednesday (28/10/2020).

“While the last 1 million cures were achieved in just 13 days, which is also showing signs of satisfaction,” continued Bhushan.

Bhushan says there is a continuous decline trend related to the death rate due to disease corona virus.

“The death rate fell from 1.77 percent on September 1 to 1.50 percent on Tuesday, October 27. It should be noted in particular that many states have mortality rates below the national average of 1.50 percent,” he said.

Apart from that, Bhushan also recorded a decline in terms of new daily mortality rate, from 1,054 in September to 615 at this time.

The ministry said India also recorded a continuous decline in terms of the daily average of new Covid-19 cases, which fell from 83,232 new cases during the period 23-29 September, to 49,909 new cases between 21-27 October.

“When we looked at the number of new Covid-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours, the figure was only 36,470 cases. However, the number of Covid-19 tests carried out during this period has never decreased,” said Bhushan.

The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday said that the number of Covid-19 cases in India had reached 7,946,429 cases and the death toll had increased to 119,502.

Globally, India became the second country to have an impact pandemic Worst Covid-19.
