Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Fadil Imran revealed that 1.2 million residents were recorded to have left DKI before and during the tightening period and prohibition on returning to one’s home area, either by air or land. The tightening period applies 14 days before the homecoming ban starts on May 6-17, 2021.
“It is estimated that the number of Jakarta people leaving Jakarta is around 1.2 million,” he said, at Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday (11/5).
Referring to this data, said Fadil, his party immediately coordinated with related parties in order to anticipate backflow.
Today, Fadil is known to have held a coordination meeting with the Pangdam Jaya, Pangkoarmada I, and Pangkoopsau I. In the meeting, several points were agreed upon in order to anticipate the backflow of Lebaran.
“Such as carrying out collaboration with BNPB and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to strengthen airports, stations, ports and rest area which becomes the means and infrastructure for returning after the homecoming, “said Fadil.
Then, it was also agreed on a layered antigen swab strategy from the place of origin to arrival at the destination. In its implementation, it will be coordinated with Polda and Kodam in other regions.
Fadil said that the antigen swab will also be carried out at the insulating points and posts checkpoint.
Another effort is to collaborate with the Indonesian Army Village Guidance Officer to the National Police Community Order Security Officer to collect data.
“From now on, all Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas will collect data for people who are going home and later we will prepare antigen swabs,” he said.
“Polda and Kodam will prepare antigen swabs and will be distributed to all Polres, Polsek, as well as the Pangdam to all Kodim and all Koranmil,” concluded Fadil.
