The M League is gearing up for its 2025-26 season, set to launch around autumn 2025, with all 40 players from the 10 participating teams now under contract, promising fans another year of professional mahjong excitement.
Key Development
The M League Organization, headquartered in Tokyo’s Minato-ku and led by Representative Director Fujita Susumu, confirmed agreements with every team and player, including both draft picks and those renewing their contracts.
New Semi-Final System
A significant change for the upcoming season is the introduction of a semi-final system. The top six teams from the regular season will advance to the semi-finals, with the top four then competing in the final series to determine the season champion.
