166 days after the High Officials Criminal Investigations Act came into effect, two candidates for the first airborne chief to recommend to the president were decided.

Both candidates are recommended by the Korean Bar Association. Senior Researcher Kim is a former judge, and Vice-Chairman Lee is a former prosecutor.
The meeting started with all 7 nominating committee members present, but only 5 people excluding the opposition nominating committee members took part in the vote.
On this day, the newly recruited opposition party recommender Han Seok-hoon insisted on recommending a new candidate, but the opposition party nominating committee members were left halfway without being accepted.
