Of these, about 1,500 people are actually expected to get off at Gangneung Station today.
Compared to last year’s 5,800 people, this is a 74% decrease.
As a result of special quarantine measures during the year-end and New Year holidays, the event for the sunrise was completely banned until midnight on the 3rd of the following month.
Sunrise spots such as Jeongdongjin in Gangneung and Homigot in Pohang and national and public parks across the country have been closed.
Gangneung has decided to close all beaches at all, and a thousand public officials are planning to block the entrances.
