[단독] 172 minors paying the tax on the sum of money, tripled in 3 years

It was found that there were 172 minors across the country who paid a comprehensive real estate tax (deposit tax) imposed on homeowners with an official price of 900 million won or more (per house). Along with the rise in house price, it seems that the “wealth inheritance” through donation and inheritance under the government’s multi-household regulation appeared as a balloon effect.

As a result of analyzing the National Tax Statistical Yearbook recently published by the National Tax Service, Maeil Economist, there were 172 people under the age of 20 who paid the tax for housing as of 2019. The number of people under the age of 20 who paid the final tax in the past five years has increased to a 4.5-fold level in the new five years, 38 in 2015, 51 in 2016, 66 in 2017, 103 in 2018. In particular, in 2017, right after the Moon Jae-in regime was launched, it was a double-digit number, but it surpassed 100 in 2018 and tripled in three years.

– The tax amount paid by them was only 16 million won in 2015, but showed a slight increase to 23 million won in 2016, 30 million won in 2017, 70 million won in 2018, and then surged to 26 million won in 2019. The effect of the government’s expansion of the maximum tax rate and the upper limit of tax burden through the September 13 real estate measures in 2018 was visible.

The number of people paying the tax tax between the ages of 20 and 30, usually before or immediately after employment, has increased significantly. In 2018, 1511 people paid 1.28 billion won, but in 2019, a year later, 1986 people paid 2.86 billion won. Among them, it seems that a large number of people who purchased Seoul housing with so-called’young-eul’ (together even the soul), including those who received the gift, were included.

This increase in tax payers and payments under the age of 20 seems to be due to the reinforcement of regulations on multi-homeowners, such as an increase in the tax, and multi-homeowners donating houses in advance for tax savings.
