[국제]Boeing recognizes problems before the’debris fall’ accident

It was confirmed that the US aircraft manufacturer Boeing was aware of the problem of the 777 aircraft that caused a debris crash during operation.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) cited internal data from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on the 25th local time, and reported that Boeing had considered reinforcing the engine shrouds of the 777s that had a problem several months before the accident.

Sources say Boeing has been discussing remedial measures with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for at least two years after similar defects were discovered on United Airlines’ 777 and Southwest Airlines’ 737s in 2018.

Earlier, on the 20th, a 777-200 airliner belonging to United Airlines caused an engine failure shortly after takeoff from Denver International Airport in Colorado, USA.

The airliner made an emergency landing at Denver Airport safely, but in the process, a dizzying accident occurred, such as aircraft debris falling from the air.

After the accident, the Federal Aviation Administration demanded an emergency inspection of the aircraft that caused the accident in Denver and the planes of airlines around the world equipped with engines of the same series.
