“Four people were shot and killed in central Sagaing City,” the AFP news agency quoted local medical staff.

Local media say that taking the situation together so far, it is estimated that at least nine people have died in today’s protests.
On the 28th of last month, another massive bloodshed occurred three days after the so-called’Blood Sunday’, where at least 18 people were killed by police indiscriminately firing across Myanmar.
As the meeting between ASEAN and Myanmar military representatives held yesterday’s video ended without success, the military and police suppression of violence is intensifying.
At yesterday’s meeting, ASEAN made a statement in its chairman’s statement, saying, “I urge all parties to refrain from promoting further violence and to resolve the situation peacefully through dialogue.”
Meanwhile, state advisor Aung San Suu Kyi, who was taken over by the military coup, is taking action against the military regime by appointing a cabinet member after a special envoy.
