[경제]Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Announces Additional Regulated Areas As Early As Tomorrow

As early as tomorrow (17th), the government plans to additionally designate a region where house prices are overheated due to the balloon effect among non-regulated regions.

It is reported that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has proceeded with the Housing Policy Deliberation Committee to further designate areas with steep increases in housing prices as areas subject to adjustment.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport has already announced last month that it will consider additional designation for areas where overheating continues, while seven areas, including Haeundae, Dongnae, Suyeong-gu, Daegu, Suseong-gu, and Gimpo, Gyeonggi, were designated as target areas for adjustment.

Accordingly, among the non-regulated areas, Paju, Cheonan, Ulsan, and Changwon, Gyeonggi-do, which have a high rate of increase in housing prices over the past three months, are being discussed as additional regulated areas.

An official from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said the housing policy deliberation committee could continue tomorrow, and the target area could be announced as early as late in the afternoon.

When designated as an adjustment target area, financial regulations such as taxation and loans are strengthened, and a financing plan must be submitted to purchase a house.
