Attentive drivers informed the Ruchheim police station on June 26th, 2021 at around 10:40 a.m. that an injured owl was sitting in the departure area of the A61 in the direction of Speyer at the Schifferstadt exit. The dispatched patrol was able to detect the full-grown owl directly on the roadway. The chemistry was right from the start and so the owl was easily captured and escorted to a rescue station in Ludwigshafen. After an initial medical check, the owl, now baptized “Razz”, got something to eat and is now being pampered.
