The Oldenburg woman had parked her Mercedes directly in front of the window of a shoe store. When she wanted to drive out of the parking bay backwards at around 12 p.m. after shopping, she said she slipped her foot off the brakes and drove straight ahead with the front of the vehicle into the window pane. There the vehicle came to a stop. The glass pane, parts of the business inventory and the Mercedes were badly damaged in the collision. The police assume property damage amounting to tens of thousands of euros. The 76-year-old, customers and employees in the store got away with the horror.
