Witnesses reported a suspicious driver in the Rosellerheide area to the police on Sunday morning (29.11.) At around 7:50 a.m. The small car of a hitherto unknown driver was noticeably slanted and parked on the side of the road with the engine running. Paramedics now looked after the obvious driver of the VW.

During the subsequent control by the police, it quickly became clear that the 44-year-old was under the influence of alcohol. A corresponding pre-test could not be carried out due to the heavy consumption, so that the 44-year-old had to undergo a blood test in a hospital. Further investigations showed that the woman from Mülheim an der Ruhr is said to be infected with the Covid-19 virus and is in quarantine.

Since non-compliance with the quarantine is a violation of the law, the police initiated an investigation. In addition, the 44-year-old will soon have to answer for being drunk in traffic.

How to behave correctly: If you have been infected with COVID-19, you have to stay in quarantine! Protect the people in your immediate vicinity. If you don’t know whether you are infected but have mild corona symptoms, you should definitely stay at home. You can also contact your general practitioner or the on-call medical service outside of office hours on 116 117 to discuss how to proceed. In urgent cases, such as breathlessness, call 112.
