On June 20, 2020, around 2:30 p.m., road users reported a car with a French license plate, which had braked and overtaken several vehicles on the A5 at Lahr, in the further course of Herbolzheim, on the right.
The police started the persecution at the Freiburg-Mitte junction. The driver of the fleeing small car could not be persuaded to stop despite several attempts. The refugee left the motorway at the Bad Krozingen exit. The persecution led through Hausen an der Möhlin and then via the L119 via Feldkirch to Bremgarten. The 28-year-old’s escape ended there. There were several traffic violations during the chase run. So the speed was far above the permitted value. The refugee disregarded the red light of a traffic light by driving over a strip of green. He also disregarded all right of way.
The traffic police has started the investigation and is now asking other road users (drivers, cyclists, pedestrians) who were endangered by the driver to report under Tel: 0761-8823100.
