In the morning hours of 09/20/21, officers from the Titisee-Neustadt police station carried out school route controls in the local area of Schluchsee, among other places. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that those starting school were safe.
In the course of the surveillance measures, a 56-year-old driver was subjected to a check with his car at around 10:40 a.m.
The officers found the driver of the vehicle to be heavily alcoholized. An alcohol test on site showed a value of over 1.5 per mille. The man was taken to a nearby clinic to have blood drawn. The driver of the vehicle is now expecting a complaint for driving under the influence of alcohol, among other things.
In addition, a total of six other vehicle drivers were warned for various violations.
