45478 Mh.-Speldorf: On Sunday, June 28th, the police temporarily arrested two suspected car breakers. Around 4.40 a.m., a witness alerted the police after he had observed two men walking up and down Eintrachtstrasse several times, looking at the cars parked there and finally stopping at a BMW. There they smashed one of the rear windows and removed the steering wheel from the car. When they saw the police car, which had already been alerted, they fled on foot through neighboring gardens. Police officers were able to locate and temporarily arrest both suspects (34 and 45 years old). With them and in the immediate vicinity of the place of arrest, the officers found the steering wheel stolen from the BMW and various tools. The two suspects were brought before the judge on Monday. / bw
