45117 E. urban areas / 45658 MH. urban areas: Spring will soon begin and with it the pedelec season too! The Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr police are prepared accordingly and offer interested parties prompt free training on how to use pedelecs safely!

In 2020, too, numerous traffic accidents occurred on the streets and paths of the cities of Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr, in which pedelec riders suffered serious injuries. Many of these accidents were caused by unsafe use of the e-bike. And we want to change that!

That is why the police experts from traffic accident prevention, in cooperation with the Essen traffic police, offer pedelec courses for adults. In addition to imparting basic theoretical knowledge, the focus is on safe handling of two-wheelers.

The free exercise courses take place in the Essen youth traffic school Gruga and the surrounding area. Every Monday between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. we are on the grounds of the youth traffic school (45131 Essen, Am Grugapark 14) and are available for training.

The participants only have to bring their own pedelec. In addition, it is mandatory to wear a helmet so that you can practice intensively and, above all, safely. (Participation in the course is at your own risk!)

According to the Corona Protection Ordinance, the pedelec training takes place in the open air.

The first day of training starts on April 12, 2021.

We look forward to all bicycle lovers and interested parties!
