At 6:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, the Nagold volunteer fire brigade was alerted to a major fire by the Calw integrated control center. At this time, a motorist reported a car fire in a car dealership building. Shortly afterwards, the first Nagold fire service arrived at the site in Iselshaeuser Strasse. Upon arrival, a strong smoke development was found on the entire sales area of a car dealership. The fire brigade immediately began to control two adjoining living rooms and started fighting the fire in the interior of the sales area. “In one living room, we were able to safely and safely escort four people outside and the other apartment was fortunately uninhabited,” said fire chief Thomas Reiff. “Due to the existing situation, the Iselshausen department was called to the site with additional respiratory protection wearers and the DRK on-call service Nagold-Wildberg,” added Reiff.

A vehicle and fuel spilled burned in the sales room. Firefighting was carried out with a C-pipe or a foam pipe in the building. A total of three groups were deployed under respiratory protection in the internal attack. The roof skin was explored from the aerial ladder. Fortunately, the fire could not be spread to the building here. The Nagold fire brigade was able to bring the car fire under control quickly. Afterwards, however, extensive ventilation measures had to be carried out in the exhibition area equipped with 17 vehicles. The fire site was checked with a thermal imaging camera. During the operation, Iselshaeuser Strasse was closed to through traffic.

The Nagold fire brigades were at the scene with 34 firefighters and eight vehicles. The readiness of the German Red Cross Nagold-Wildberg was on site with three vehicles and ten emergency services, and the ambulance service with a crew. No one was injured in this operation. According to initial estimates, property damage of approximately EUR 150,000 can be assumed.
