(JD) On January 1st, 2020 at 11:27 p.m., the Ludwigshafen fire brigade was called to a house fire in Valentin-Bauer-Strasse in Ludwigshafen-West.
Upon arrival, the fire department found a fire in an apartment in an apartment building. There were no people in the apartment.
The fire was extinguished by an internal squad with a C-pipe. Then the apartment and the stairwell were ventilated. The apartment is no longer habitable. Two adults and two children from neighboring apartments in the apartment building complained of respiratory tract irritation, were cared for by the emergency services and transported to a hospital.
The police have started an investigation into the cause of the fire.
The Ludwigshafen fire brigade was deployed with 28 emergency services and seven vehicles from the professional fire brigade, the ambulance service with three vehicles and the police.
At the same time, the Ludwigshafen fire brigade was called at 11:52 p.m. to trigger a smoke alarm in Adam-Stegerwald-Strasse in the Oggersheim district. The smoke alarm had triggered for no apparent reason. There was no fire.
