(bar) Last night the fire brigade experienced a quieter turn of the year compared to previous years.
In the previous year, 85 fire operations and technical assistance were carried out in the period from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. This year there were 20 in the rescue service at the turn of the year 2019/2020 in the above-mentioned period of 198 operations this year.
The fire operations consisted of several garbage containers, vegetation fires and three locations where cars were burning.
On January 1st, 2021 at 1:22 a.m., a fire was reported to the fire and rescue control center in the street Am Tiefbrunnen in Bremen Vegesack. Two cars burned here, which were extinguished by the emergency services of fire station 6 with an HLF under breathing protection and a C-pipe. “Fire out” was reported at 01:58.
#An HLF is an emergency fire engine. The main difference to a fire engine is the extensive equipment for technical assistance.
At 02:31 a.m. callers reported a burning car in the street Neuer Damm in Bremen Kirchhuchting. The alerted forces of fire station 4 extinguished the car with breathing protection using a C-pipe and reported “fire out” at 02:57.
At 04:17 a.m., the third mission was reported in Hegelstrasse in Bremen Südervorstadt. Three cars burned here, one of which was extinguished by the police using fire extinguishers before the fire brigade arrived. The HLF of fire station 4 was used here. The two cars were extinguished by a squad using a C-pipe while wearing respiratory protection. Fire out was reported at 4:53 a.m.
People were not injured. The cause of the fire is determined by the police.
