She applied for the coaching position at Seongnam City Hall, where Choi Min-jung, the empress of short track speed skating, belonged to the same team.

When the Seongnam Town Hall Ice Team was disbanded, he was a naturalized Russian citizen in 2011 and won three gold medals at the Sochi Olympics.
He was unable to compete in the PyeongChang Olympics due to doping issues.
At the Beijing Olympics last year, he turned into a coach and led the Chinese national team.

Later, it was reported that Viktor Ahn rejected a contract offer from a foreign national team and returned to Korea.
The city of Seongnam said it would conduct interviews this week and announce the latest shortlisted candidates later this month.
