Joint press release by the Dortmund police and the city of Dortmund
Due to a demonstration, the city of Dortmund will close the Südwall in Dortmund city center between Hohe Straße and Ruhrallee in both directions on Friday (September 4th, 2020) from 9 a.m. to probably 10 p.m.
The closure of the south wall for an expected twelve hours will have far-reaching consequences for road traffic. The police and the Dortmund city administration are therefore asking road users …
- ohne Ziel im Zentrum: Bitte meiden Sie den Wall-Bereich oder umfahren Sie ihn großräumig.
- mit Ziel im Zentrum: Bitte planen Sie längere An- und Abfahrtszeiten als üblich und Umwege ein.
In principle, however, downtown Dortmund can be reached. Anyone who visits the retail trade or wants to keep appointments at work or in a doctor’s office should, for example, switch to a bicycle.
Other important information:
- Eine Ein- oder Ausfahrt an der Tiefgarage am Friedensplatz ist von 10 bis voraussichtlich 22 Uhr nicht möglich.
- Verkehrsteilnehmer, die über die Märkische Straße oder die Ruhrallee in Richtung Neutor fahren, müssen nach Rechts auf den Ostwall abbiegen. Die Kleppingstraße ist befahrbar.
- Verkehrsteilnehmer, die über die Hohe Straße in Richtung Wall fahren, müssen nach Links auf den Hiltropwall abbiegen. Die Hansastraße ist befahrbar.
- Verkehrsteilnehmer, die über den Ostwall oder Hiltropwall auf den Südwall zufahren, müssen in Richtung Ruhrallee bzw. Hohe Straße abbiegen.
- Zwischen der Ruhrallee und der Hohen Straße steht die Saarlandstraße nicht als Verbindungsstraße zur Verfügung. Sie ist wegen einer Baustelle eine Sackgasse.
- Auf den Straßen in der südlichen Innenstadt ist insgesamt mit Staus zu rechnen, die bis in den Bereich Bundesstraße 1 reichen können.
