And yet panic is not appropriate. If you follow the experts, the corona virus is less dangerous than the Sars pathogen, which spread fear in 2003. Reminder: According to the World Health Organization, there were 8,096 infections worldwide in 774 cases, which were fatal. Do we still remember the flu wave 2017/18? At that time, according to official estimates, more than 25,000 people died of it in Germany. Too much excitement about the new pathogen from China is therefore probably not appropriate.
