Already in October 2019 there was a dangerous bodily harm in the west tunnel of the Essen main train station. The federal police are now looking for the suspect with photographs.

At around 8 p.m. on October 25, a 38-year-old Chinese national stopped at a ticket machine to purchase a ticket. According to the injured party, an unknown man is said to have kicked him in the legs from behind.

When he wanted to confront him, the man is said to have stepped up again several times. Even when an uninvolved man intervened and stood by the 38-year-old, the attacker is said to have kicked several times.

An evaluation of the video recordings confirmed the information provided by the Chinese national. He went to hospital and was diagnosed with a fracture of the left metacarpal hand.

With a decision, the Essen district court ordered the public search for the suspect.

The Federal Police asks for information on the suspect and receives information on the free service number 0800 6 888 000.
