- YouGov survey: one in two people thinks about changing their car insurance

38 percent of the decision-makers who are (partly) responsible for questions about motor insurance find their insurance too expensive. That is the result of a representative YouGov survey on behalf of CHECK24.1) Around every second person (47 percent) is thinking about changing insurance this year.
When asked about the reasons for the intended motor insurance change, 77 percent said they wanted to save money. 23 percent would like better contractual services and 15 percent state that they are dissatisfied with the current insurance (e.g. the service).

When asked “What do you think how do you find the best insurance deals?” 58 percent of those questioned answered “Via comparison portals on the Internet”. 27 percent believe they can find the best offers directly from the insurance company, another 20 percent through an (offline) insurance broker.
When it comes to actually taking out car insurance, comparison portals come first for those surveyed. 55 percent consider switching via a comparison portal. For comparison: only 38 percent would take out insurance directly, 22 percent with classic (offline) brokers.
Euro am Sonntag: CHECK24 is the best comparison portal for motor vehicle insurance

This was the result of an investigation by Euro am Sonntag together with the German Customer Institute (DKI). 2) In addition to the overall victory, CHECK24 wins the price / performance sub-category by a clear margin and more than the full number of points. On average across the 15 test profiles examined, consumers * save the most at CHECK24. The portal also offers most motor insurers and most tariffs in comparison.
300 CHECK24 experts advise on all issues relating to vehicle insurance

Comparison portals promote competition between providers – total savings of EUR 318 million per year
Comparison portals encourage competition between car insurance providers. By switching, consumers saved a total of 318 million euros within one year. This was the result of a representative study by WIK-Consult, a subsidiary of the Scientific Institute for Infrastructure and Communication Services (WIK) .3)
