The first autonomous Żappka Store was made available to customers on June 14 in Poznań, at the gate number 8 at the Poznań International Fair. It is an outlet open 24/7, with neither cash registers nor service. This means that customers can do there shopping both during the day and at night. Żappka Store has a camera system that uses intelligent algorithms that can, among others.in. recognize products removed from the shelves, charge the appropriate amount and finalize the payment using the payment card attached to the Żappka Pay application.

To take advantage of the maintenance-free store, all you need is a smartphone with the Żappka application installed and the active Żappka Pay service. Customers can simply enter the Żappka Store, take any product and leave, and the appropriate amount will be automatically debited from their account.

Further Żappka Store points will be opened in Kraków and Warsaw

Frog announces the opening of another autonomous store in Poznań. The second point of Żappka Store will be built at ul. Dworcowa 1 – the portal found out newshandlowe.pl. The chain is also planning to launch its nano-stores in other cities – in Warsaw (ul. Bracka 3) and in Kraków (Lubicz-Basztowa underground passage, office L15).

As the website found out unofficially, ¯abka plans to open approx. 30 Żappka Store points by the end of this year. The chain is also working on a slightly smaller concept of a nano-store, which would be adapted to e.g. office locations. Autonomous Żappka Store stores allow the chain to reach places where a standard store cannot be opened and help Żabka accelerate its expansion in Poland.

The first autonomous store in Poland was opened in Poznań

The first autonomous store in Poland was opened in 2019. A cashless point was also established in Poznań, but the Take & Go chain is responsible for its opening. The store is open 24/7 and requires customers to have a store application that should be attached to the payment card. The autonomous Żappka Store and Take & Go stores therefore operate on a similar principle.
