The PlayStation 5 will hit store shelves in mid-November

Sony’s representatives have so far only stated in unison that the new five will appear on store shelves before Christmas. However, the Leaker IronManPS5 has now revealed that this should happen almost exactly in mid-November, specifically on Saturday 14 November.

The timing is quite surprising, as most technology companies plan the sales premieres of their news on weekdays. But the Japanese electronic giant wants to give players time to really enjoy the console during their days off.

Fight for the favor of players

The prices of both upcoming designs have appeared on the Internet before. The classic PlayStation 5 will reportedly cost 499 euros (CZK 13,300). The version without optical drive will be cheaper, potential applicants will pay 399 euros for it, ie 10 650 CZK.

It should be emphasized that Sony’s management has not yet officially confirmed console prices. And the same goes for starting a sale. With four months to go before the official launch, it is possible that the plans will eventually be reconsidered.

It is worth remembering that the PlayStation 5 will compete for the favor of players with the competing Xbox Series X from Microsoft. It is therefore more than likely that both companies will try to bring their console to market as soon as possible and with the most attractive price tag possible.

The exact availability of the Xbox has not yet been revealed, as has its possible price tag. All that is known is that he will also come before Christmas.

High performance of course

PlayStation 5 will build on a modified AMD processor with Zen 2 architecture, which will offer 8 cores and 16 working threads. For it, the frequency will be variable, with a maximum value of 3.5 GHz.

In the case of the graphics core, the manufacturer refers to the architecture as Custom RDNA 2. However, it is important that it runs at a frequency of 2.23 GHz. The manufacturer anticipates that these components should add up to more than 10.2 TFLOPS. It counts on 16 GB of GDDR6 memory (256-bit) with a throughput of 448 GB / s.

In practice, the console should be enough to play in 4K resolution, at 60 frames per second. It is also expected to include special ray tracing cores, which will allow the individual games to offer breathtaking graphics.
