NOTRE-DAME-DE-LOURDES – Five people, including two children, were injured in the early afternoon, Saturday, in a head-on collision on route 265 in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, a little north from Plessisville, in Center-du-Québec.
In one of the two vehicles involved in the accident, there was a woman and two small children, said the Sûreté du Québec, adding that the children were seated in car seats. The three were taken to hospital.
The other vehicle was carrying a man and a woman, who suffered fractures on impact.
In the evening, the SQ clarified that there was no fear for the life of any of the injured.
The accident occurred when one of the vehicles deviated from its lane – for an unknown reason – to collide with the other oncoming vehicle.
An SUV and a car were involved in this accident. It was raining at the time of the collision, said the SQ.
