Italian Prime Minister shouts hard: “Serious negligence with brutal Genoa”

The disaster with the bridge in Genoa that collapsed in 2018 was the result of “serious and unforgivable negligence”. That is what Italian Prime Minister Conte said in the La Repubblica newspaper following a study by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

Prime Minister Conte is very enthusiastic about the newspaper. “At the stage of the investigation that we are now in, I can say that it is clear that someone has made mistakes.”

According to correspondent Angelo van Schaik, Conte’s statements are remarkable. “It is the first time that he has spoken so explicitly about the responsibility of the disaster. A few ministers have already done so before.”
