On July 18 and 19, the first tournament of the Latvian professional 3×3 basketball league will take place in Ventspils near the State 1st Gymnasium (Brīvības Street 14) in new 3×3 basketball courts.
12 men’s teams will take part in the competition, including representatives of clubs starting in the Latvian Basketball Leagues and Latvian junior teams.
The games will be available live on the LBS YouTube channel.
The two-day tournament will be opened on Saturday at 11 am by the opening ceremony of the new squares, during which spectators will be delighted slam dunk show performed by Kristaps Dārgas and Kārlis Apsītis, performances of the BC “Ventspils” heating group and a sample game with the participation of Latvian national team players Agnis Čavars, Kārlis Lasmanis, Artūrs Strēlnieks, Armands Seņkāns, Roberts Pāžes and Māryiņš Šteinbergs.

Latvian 3×3 Basketball League tournament series, which will take place from July to May. There are 6 selection stages in Ventspils, Saldus, Rezekne, Liepaja, Ogre and Jelgava, as well as eight main tournament stages and a final stage.
The title of Latvian champion will be played in the final tournament, a trip to an international FIBA 3×3 tournament and a technical funding prize will be paid for, which the team will be able to use for international trips. During the final tournament, the best long-range performer and the most skillful player will be determined.
